| Well, we finally did it. My husband loves the Gala apple and has wanted to plant a Gala apple tree in our yard. After about 3 years of looking, we've been told by several nurseries that the Gala does not do well in Texas. So, we bought the Anna apple and to give it a pollinator companion, we bought a golden dorsette apple tree to plant next to it. We were informed by the guy at the nursey to expect a huge yield of apples possibly in the year or two and when that happens he wants an apple pie. LOL! We also replaced an orange tree that was not doing anything. It was 5 years old and it never set a bloom or really even grew. We re-planted it elsewhere and replaced it with an LSU Purple Fig. I need my yard to start producing some groceries now... | |

| I have 13 fruit baring tree's in my front and backyard. My persimmon tree is very old and produces most years. That ponderosa lemon tree was producing when we bought it and is doing very well. I am excited though, because our Meyer lemon looks like it will finally produce lemons. But other than that, the other tree's need to get with it and produce. LOL! | |
